Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 May 2026.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using ShellPhone, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

2. What ShellPhone is

ShellPhone is an SSH client for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android, published by sggyamg from Madrid, Spain. The base app is free to use, with no time limit and no account required. Optional annual subscriptions unlock additional features, sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

3. Subscriptions

The optional bundles — Power user (€1.99/year), Network tools (€1.99/year), Remote desktop (€3.99/year) and the All-in-one combo (€4.99/year, includes the three individual bundles at ~37% off) — are auto-renewable annual subscriptions processed through the platform's standard in-app purchase system. The subscription renews automatically each year for the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for; the bundle stays unlocked until then. You manage and cancel subscriptions from your Apple ID / Google Play account settings — there is nothing to cancel on our side, because we do not store any account about you.

Universal Purchase. Each subscription is sold as a Universal Purchase. On the Apple App Store, a single subscription entitles you on every iPhone, iPad and Mac signed into the same Apple ID, and is shareable through Family Sharing under Apple's terms. On Google Play, the entitlement follows your Google account on every Android device signed into it. You subscribe once, on any of your devices, and the unlock applies to the rest of the household devices linked to that store account — without any cloud sync on our side.

Prices are set in EUR and converted by Apple and Google to your local storefront currency at their published rates. If we ever change the subscription price, Apple and Google require renewals to be opted into by the user before the new price applies.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel any active subscription anytime, with no penalty, from the platform's standard interface:

Cancellation stops the next renewal; the bundle stays unlocked until the end of the current paid period. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds outside of these channels.

5. License

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use ShellPhone on devices you own or control. The license is tied to the store account that holds the active subscription and follows that account's family-sharing rules where applicable.

6. Restrictions

You agree not to:

7. Your responsibility

ShellPhone connects to whatever servers you tell it to connect to. You are responsible for having authorisation to access those servers. Connecting to systems without permission may be illegal where you live; the existence of an SSH client is not a defence.

8. "As is" — no warranty

ShellPhone is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will work with any specific server, network, or configuration.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, sggyamg shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app, including but not limited to data loss, lost profits, or service interruptions on the systems you connect to.

Total liability, if any, is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant ShellPhone subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights where those cannot be excluded by contract.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be flagged in the in-app release notes for the affected version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain, except where consumer-protection law of your country of residence requires otherwise.
